A non-invasive treatment that uses high intensity pulses of visible light to improve the appearance of various skin conditions and hair reduction.

The broad spectrum pulsed light emitted by the Sheerwave® IPL360 is attracted and absorbed by chromophore. By triggering different chromophores, the IPL is able to treat many skin conditions as well as permanent hair reduction. Light energy can also target specific proteins present at the level of acne lesions.

Treatments with the Sheerwave® IPL360 are painless. A mild heat and bright flash of light is experienced in full comfort and relaxation. Adding an integrated cooling system, each treatment with the Sheerwave® IPL360 turns into a comfortable, pain-free experience.

It is normal to have a slight redness in the treated area immediately following the procedure. It will disappear approximately 2 hours after the treatment.

For skin conditions, it may range between 3 to 8 treatments depending on the severity of the symptoms. For hair reduction, it may range between 6 to 10 sessions. Keep in mind that if the condition or hair is caused by an imbalance (hormonal, stress, diet) it may require further treatments. For optimal and lasting results it is very important to follow the recommended treatment schedule.

The Sheerwave® IPL360 is effective on individuals of all hair colors. People who have been in the sun, tanning beds and using self tanners should wait at least 2-3 weeks before being treated. Furthermore, we do not recommend that anyone with dark skin (Fitzpatrick type VI) receive IPL treatments.

Rosacea causes flushing of the face and enlarged visible capillaries (small vessels) especially on the cheeks, nose and midface. By administering IPL frequencies, heat is generated and the vessel walls are altered, the blood inside the vessel coagulates causing the vessel to collapse and seal. IPL treatments are very effective at coagulating the enlarged blood vessels and eliminating redness and blush giving the skin a more even tone.

Hyperpigmentation is darkening that occurs when an excess of melanin, the brown pigment that produces normal skin color, forms deposits in the skin. Hyperpigmentation is referred to as age spots, liver spots, freckles and sunspots. Sheerwave IPL 360° helps rejuvenate areas of hyperpigmentation while minimizing damages caused to the surrounding tissue.
